Each year in February/March, over three hundred of the very best college football players will be invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Top Executives, Coaching Staffs, Player Personnel Departments and Medical Personnel from all 32 NFL teams will be on hand to evaluate the nation’s top college football players eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft. This intense, four day job interview is an exciting time for the athletes and vital step in achieving their dreams of playing in the NFL.

Matthew Sedgley, MD FAAFP CAQSM FACSM FAMSSM
Development and Implementation of Emergency Action Plans for DCs Working Sporting Events
Dr. Sedgley is a physician specializing in sports medicine. He is fellowship trained in both family medicine and sports medicine. His special interests include musculoskeletal injuries, evaluation of non-surgical orthopedic problems, and concussions. He is a team physician for the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Running Festival, Coppin State University, and Howard County Community College. Dr. Sedgley's special interests include working with runners, triathletes, and bicyclists. He has served as the primary care sports medicine medical director of several marathons and ultra-marathons. He is also trained in sports medicine ultrasound. Non-operative care for orthopedic concerns and acute sports injuries are his primary focus.
He is the Director of Running Medicine, for MedStar Health. He is the Co-Director of Emergency Action Planning.
In 2024, he was named again, a Top Doctor by Baltimore magazine.

Dan McClure, DC, CCSP, CCEP
Advanced Extremity Adjusting
Dr. Dan McClure combines a life-long love of athletics with his chosen profession for a natural specialization in chiropractic sports medicine. He is a former high school and college athlete who first became interested in chiropractic when it offered him great relief for a low back injury sustained during college football.
In 1989 he was selected for the interdisciplinary sports medicine team at the US Olympic Training Center. His USOC association continued through the 1990 Olympic Sports Festival and the 1991 Pan American Games. Due to his successful treatment of divers’ wrist injuries at those USOC events, he was invited to join the Sports Medicine staff of US Diving in 1991. Since then, he has worked with elite divers at training camps, Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, Olympic Trials, and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. McClure is a nationally and internationally renowned expert and lecturer on extremity injuries and manipulation. His extremity experience ranges over 35 years. Dr. McClure’s state of the art techniques are constantly being refined, so you will learn time proven techniques as well as cutting edge techniques in the process of development. This level of commitment and experience, along with his passion for excellence in applying chiropractic extremity techniques is what makes him the best in his field.

Sabrina Atkins, DC
Safe and Powerful Adjustment Techniques for Spine and Extremities
Dr. Sabrina Atkins, was the official chiropractic physician for the NBA Bubble in 2020 She has served as the official chiropractic physician for the NBA’s Orlando Magic since 2009. Additional experience and credentials include Orlando Ballet since 2005; Coach Tom Shaw’s NFL Training Camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports (2007-2016); Orlando’s Major Indoor Soccer League team - Orlando Sharks (2007-2008); Orlando’s Indoor Professional Lacrosse Team of the NLL - Orlando Titans (2010); Orlando’s first MLS team- Orlando City Soccer (2015, 2016).
Her involvement in team sports began with the women’s basketball team at Life University, with whom she traveled, during her internship for her Masters of Sports Injury Management. She was the first student to initiate travel for treatment during athletic events, through Life University. This pivotal milestone assisted in the development of a program, launched for current students, to travel alongside with teams, allowing them to provide treatment during athletic events; assisting in the advancement of their hands-on experience, as well as providing invaluable on-site chiropractic care for competing athletes at all levels.
Her involvement also includes associations with several other sports venues and events, including DEW Action Sports Tour, USA Taekwondo, USA Judo, Disney Marathon, International Softball Federation, ProSport and Professional Rodeo Association. Dr. Atkins served as the Medical Director for the Sunshine State Games, Florida’s largest amateur sport competitions for 4 years. She is former President of the FCA Sports Council; has served as Vice President of Florida Sports Council; and received Doctor of the year award from the Southeastern Circuit of ProSport. She was recognized as a notable nominee for Orlando Sports Council Chiropractic Physician of the Year award, four years in a row, and has been honored with the Tender Care award from the Orlando Ballet. She was honored by the Orlando Business Journal as a recipient of one of the 40 Under 40 awards where business professionals, and entrepreneurs under 40 are recognized for their achievements. Most recently, Dr. Atkins was recognized for her involvement with Professional Sports Teams in the Florida Chiropractic Association Journal issue: WOMEN IN SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC.
She lectures regularly on adjustment strategies, ethics, risk management, and medical errors as they relate to working with athletes and using manual, hands-on techniques.

Hirad NajafBagy. DC

Founder and President of United Wellness & Sports Rehab, Dr. Hirad NajafBagy (Dr. H) is known for helping professional athletes and weekend warriors perform at their peak. His expertise in therapeutic and soft tissue techniques has benefited thousands—from elite competitors to individuals seeking relief from pain and improved quality of life.
Dr. H served as the official team chiropractor for D.C. United from 1998 to 2023, including the 2002 and 2004 MLS All-Star games. His work spans the USA National Soccer Team, Washington Freedom, and multiple MLS Cup events. In 2010, he expanded into American football as Team Chiropractor for the Washington Commanders, followed by the Washington Nationals Baseball Team in 2011. He supported the Nationals during their 2019 World Series win and the 2018 MLB All-Star game. In 2021, he joined the Washington Capitals Hockey Team as team chiropractor, and in 2023 as the Georgetown Hoyas Basketball team continuing his commitment to advancing sports medicine across disciplines

Pat Helma
DC DACSP Foundation Training - From Pain to Performance
Dr. Pat Helma is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) with over 30 years of clinical and sideline experience treating athletes. Dr. Helma was the first chiropractor to serve and chair the Florida High School Athletic Association Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, establishing safety guidelines for sports participation of high school athletes in the State. Dr. Helma has served as team physician for many high schools, Chiropractor to the Association of Volleyball Professionals, the World Surf League, and the Vans Warped Tour. He has provided field of play emergency medicine and rescue to the Dew Ski and Snowboard Tour, and Nitro Circus. He has also served as medical director for numerous mass participation events including triathlons, lacrosse and volleyball tournaments, rodeo, and others. In 2007 he received the Sports Chiropractor of the Year from the ACBSP. Dr. Helma has published papers and presented numerous lectures on topics including concussion management, sports injury, posture, and emergency care. He has been a post graduate instructor for DConline since 2003. He has been certified as an instructor in Foundation Training since 2013 and continues to teach classes weekly to elite level triathletes. He is currently a clinician at the University of Western States and an instructor for emergency procedure courses.

Dale J. Büchberger, MS, PT, DC, CSCS, DACBSP

Dr. Buchberger received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the National College of Chiropractic (NCC), a master’s degree in physical therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a former associate professor at New York Chiropractic College and former staff chiropractor for the Syracuse University Athletic Department. He is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Sports Medicine for the University of Western States. He is a Diplomate and 3-time past-President of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. He is the President of Active Physical Therapy Solutions PC, Auburn, NY. The American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians named Dr. Buchberger 2009 Sports Chiropractor of the Year. In 2022, he received the SWIS Lifetime Achievement Award.
